We want to break the World Record of
the longest tandem bicycle journey!
To achieve this we want to cycle quite a bit: More than 38143 km (23840 miles)! This is exactly the distance which was covered by Phil and Louise Shambrook from England on their Tandem bicycle World Record Trip. They were on tour from Dec/1994 until Oct/1997 Source: Guinnes book of world records If you do a trip like we do it, going around the world by bike for several years, then of course we do not do this only to get into the guinness book of world records. There would be easier ways, perhaps to take a shower for ten days in a row or doing similar things. Thats also why we refer to ourselves as bike travellers. But still, this record shows how we want to take our journey also in a very sportive way. We go around the world by bike because we think it is an ideal means of transport to enjoy landscape most and get easy in contact with local people. But also we seek the sportive challenge to cycle not only through flat areas in moderate climate zones, but also through deserts, in mountaineous areas, in tropical rain forrest or everywhere else where our bike will take us. By the way, this is the special tandem bike on which we go around the world: Our Pino -> We are proud that this bicycle was given to us for our trip and record trial by the company Hase bikes, who now luckily sponsor us: -> Visit the Website of Hase Bikes |
